We received an overwhelming response from leading marketers excited to share how they leverage Eloqua to communicate with customers and prospects in exceptional, innovative ways, automate marketing processes, align marketing and sales, and measure marketing impact.

Important Dates:
- The deadline to submit your entry is Friday, October 2 – look for a confirmation email when your submission has been received.
- You will not receive further communication from Eloqua until the finalists are announced on Wednesday, October 14, 2009.
- The 2009 Markie Awards will be recognized during Eloqua Experience 2009 on the evening of Tuesday, November 3rd.
Categories
There are 12 categories for the 2009 Markie Awards this year:
- Best Customer Lifecycle Program Award
Are you marketing to customers at different stages in their lifecycle with you? This could be focused on renewal, upsell or cross-sell, loyalty, reference, etc. Share your program details and metrics with us.
- Best Channel Marketing Award
Do you rely on partners or channels to sell your product? If so, let us know how you’ve improved communication with the partner ecosystem or demonstrated increased sales results through channel marketing.
- Getting to Know You Award
We’ll give this new award to an organization that uses advanced personalization and profiling techniques in campaigns to build stronger connections with their prospects or customers and topple ‘industry-standard’ response rates.
- Sales and Marketing Alignment Award
Have you reached the holy grail of marketing and sales alignment? Is there cooperation and appreciation on both sides of the fence? Tell us how you overcame organizational barriers to reach this state of bliss, and let us know what metrics have been positively impacted.
- Eloqua API Connect Award
Have you taken advantage of Eloqua’s flexible integration options to develop processes that enhance your business or improve your analytics? If you’ve gone above and beyond a standard CRM integration, share the details with us.
- Best Lead Scoring Award
If your organization has improved sales targeting through automated lead scoring, we want to know about it. Tell us about increased win rates, shorter sales cycles or any positive outcomes of your scoring program.
- Best Lead Nurturing Program Award
Do you have a sophisticated lead nurturing program that has measurable results? Do your programs make decisions that matter and result in actions that are compelling? Then tell us about it and you might take home a Markie!
- Sales Impact Award
Tell us about the kit of tools you’ve given to your sales team to make their lives easier and increase their efficiency. We want to hear how you’ve impacted sales metrics such as shorter sales cycles, more customer wins, increased deal sizes, and more.
- Marketing Visionary Award
You know who you are. You have a passion for a certain aspect of marketing and you’re making your voice heard in the industry and among your peers. Compliment your contributions with a Markie statue!
- Social Media Marketing Award
If Social Media is more than a buzz word at your organization, tell us about it. We want to hear the creative ways you’re making the most of the newest marketing mediums to build sustained dialogs with your customers or prospects.
- Marketing Center of Excellence Award
Has your organization embraced the ZEN of marketing automation? If your business has developed a Marketing Center of Excellence to ensure adoption of marketing best practices, organizational alignment and consistent standards for measurement and reporting, we want to hear about it. Winners of this award have developed a process and model for marketing decision making and planning, developed internal champions and subject matter experts, and have promoted the pervasive adoption of best practices in marketing communications, automation and measurement.
- Most Creative Marketing Campaign
Sometimes all of the pieces align to create a fantastic marketing campaign –the perfect idea, the right target, the memorable artwork, the personalized follow-up, and of course, the measurable results. Inspire us with your campaign and we’ll return the favor with a Markie!
2009 Finalists
Selecting this list of finalists was not an easy task. Eloqua received a huge response to the Markie awards this year and we have spent many hours reading through some incredible stories. It is clear that more and more of our customers are innovating and optimizing their use of Eloqua to increase efficiencies, improve marketing effectiveness and forge tighter alignment with sales. The winner in each category was selected by a panel of Eloqua judges and announced at the awards ceremony on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Eloqua Experience in San Francisco.
